GV II

Semi-detached cottage at end of row. Late medieval-C16, ceiled C19 and divided into 2 dwellings C19, restored to single
dwelling late C20. Roughcast over rubble, double Roman tile roof, coped verges left gable end, roughcast stack left
gable end, brick to right of cross passage. Plan: abuts cottage to east, thought to be single ended open hall house,
celled to 3-cell and cross passage. Two storeys, 2:2 bays, all C20 2- and 3-light casement windows, C20 door second
bay left; gabled dormers rising from eaves on rear elevation. Interior:plank and muntin screen to cross passage
chamfered on both sides, chamfered wooden lintel with chamfered stone jambs to former kitchen; base of cruck blade
visible in south-east corner of out-shot, said to be divided from former kitchen by timber-framed partition. West
gable end crud truss also said. to be visible on exterior. Upper storey said to contain 3 jointed cruck trusses and one
true cruck, all of different design and thought to include reused timbers. This cottage was part of the globe. (VAG
