SK 14 NE OKEOVER C.P. -

3/121 Okeover Mill

GV II

Former water mill. Early C18 with later alterations and additions.
Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, and red
brick addit ions; clay tile roof; brick ridge stack. In 3 parts;
Central 2-storey main building with coped verge to left hand, flanked
by lower 2-storey wing to right and single-storey extension to left;
roughly 2:2:2 bays. Main building: casements to ground floor left
of centre and first floor left of centre and right; roughly central
ground floor door with raised keystone and first floor door to left.
Right hand wing: Board doors to right and left of centre; casements
to centre and right; the upper storey is a brick addition. Left
hand extension: 2 large double leaf doors. The east gable of the
main building has an exposed queen strut truss. Okeover Mill forms
part of a picturesque setting to the north of Okeover Park.
