2 houses. Early C19, with mid C19 rear addition. Brick, with
rendered and colourwashed front and hipped slate roof. Plinth,
deep eaves, 4 ridge and single side wall stacks, slightly
projecting 4-bay centre. 2 storeys; 6 window range of plain
sashes with wavy blind boxes. 39, to left, has on the left
side a glazing bar sash and a blank. Below, to left, a plain
Classical style doorcase with hood and half-glazed door with
overlight. To its right, a plain sash. To left, 2 storey rear
wing with mansard roof, and hipped porch in return angle. 39
is the birthplace of Sir William Nicholson, painter, 1872.
