Town house. Mid to later C19. Red brick in Flemish bond, with
sandstone dressings and slate roof. Double-depth
single-fronted plan with back extension. Three storeys over
cellar, a 2-window facade, with plain frieze and moulded
gutter cornice. The doorway, to the right, has a panelled
pilaster architrave with moulded imposts and entablature with
cornice and blocking course, and a door with 6 deep vertical
panels; the windows are all sashed without glazing bars, those
at 2nd floor shorter, and have raised sills and wedge lintels
(except at 2nd floor). Cellar window with grating. Rear and
INTERIOR not inspected. History: built on former garden
between No.7 and No.9, and forms group with these (q.v.).
