Astronomical Observatory built c. 1864 for Thomas Wm. Backhouse FRAS, FRMetS (1842-1920) Only one of its kind in the world. Renovated 1997 by Don Simpson. West Hendon House renovated and converted into apartments 1997 by David Lawson Design & Architecture.
