GV II

House, one of a pair. C17. Rendered and painted rubble, slate
roof, stone stacks. In 2 parts: the original 2-room
central-entry plan building, which is built close to the rock
face to the rear, is in 2 storeys with 3 windows, small 2 or
3-light casements with wood lintels, with stopped chamfer to
the ground floor openings, and a central C19 door in C20
glazed gabled porch. The ground floor has remains of a rough
stone drip course. The right gable, covered by the later
adjoining building, has a large external stack. Set back, to
the left, is a mid/late C20 lower 2-storey range. The return
to the left has a central door, and a 2-light casement at each
level.
INTERIOR: the ground floor has a single room in the main
range, with a rebuilt fireplace, retaining a cloam oven; there
are some chamfered joists. The straight flight lateral stair
has a thin C19 three-plank door. The roof structure, probably
a late rebuilding, has paired principals.
