Town house with shop. Early C17, refronted mid/late C19.
Stucco on studwork to front; dry Delabole roof with bracketed
cornice to front range, rag slate roof to rear wing; cast-iron
ogee gutters. Shallow tapered plan. 3 storeys; 1-window range
with rusticated quoins to upper floors; 2nd floor late C19
tripartite horned sashes within original moulded boxes with
carved cornice hood and moulded sill on brackets linked to
string; 1st floor late C19 four-light transomed canted oriel
with moulded entablature and moulded sill on moulded stucco
corbel. Ground floor has late C19 two-light shop front with
2-pane horned sashes also to splayed sidelight left of doorway
with 2-panel top-glazed door and overlight; pilaster sash
boxes, enriched frieze; panelled end pilasters with consoles
flanking fascia; moulded cornice with round heads above
consoles. INTERIOR of rear wing has early C17 chamfered
granite fireplace with fleur-de-lys panel and stubs of
chamfered oak joists with ball on bar stops. Also removed
prior to inspection were C17 fragments of former mullioned
window.
