House, now houses. C15 with C17 additions and C19 alterations;
restored 1977. Timber-frame and brick; brick; slate roof to
front pitch, with gable to right; C19 and C20 plain tiles to
rear and right-hand pitches; brick ridge stack; stone stack
with brick chimney, to right. T-shaped plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 4-window range: 2, 3, and 4-light C20
casements, that to right in brick under sham timber-framed
gable. Similar, taller casements to ground floor, to right
under brick segmental arch, to left in small outshut. Entrance
to left: C20 part glazed door, under timber-frame and brick
porch with lattice-work gable, and 4-centred arch lintel with
C20 shield dated 1624. Right returned side has further C20
casements, and C20 door under flat hood on scrolled brackets.
Left returned side has massive jointed posts with cusped
braces. Rear has C20 doors, windows and flat-roofed
extensions.
INTERIOR: No.2: ground floor: exposed mutilated C16/C17
timber-framing; exposed ceiling beams. No.3: ground floor:
moulded ceiling beam, and post; C20 stick baluster stair;
exposed framing with curved braces and chamfered post; billets
with capitals; jowled post.
