2/30 Barn at Castlebury
25m N of house

GV II

Double barn. C18, roof altered in C19. Timber frame
weatherboarded on red brick sill. Pitched roof now clad in
corrugated asbestos. A tall unaisled double barn, each part of
5-bays with opposed double doors in the middle bay. Unjowled
posts with rails tennoned in line. Long curved braces to tie
beam. Angled Queen-strut C19 roof. Included for group value.
