St Mary's Church Completed in May 1853 by Benjamin Ferrey (1810-1880) of Charing Cross Road London an architect of natinal repute, who designed churches, St Stephens of Rochester Row Westminster and Christ Church Brockham Green Surrey also the church 4 miles away Holy Trinity Bengeo. Designed Manion Bagshot Park he restored Wells Catherdral.
St Mary's Thundridge was built for Robert Hanbury (1796-1884).
