Lead mine stable and smithy. Probably mid C19, for London Lead Company.
Coursed sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings; roof of graduated stone flags
with stone chimney raised in brick. One storey, 5 bays. Boarded doors under
thin wood lintel in first bay and flat stone lintel in third bay. Wide flat
stone lintels over small 2-light opening in second bay and larger partly-
boarded opening in fourth bay, all with stone sills, the left irregular and
pierced with 2 small holes, the right projecting and with central iron bolt.
Right bay blank but partly obscured by attached shed which is not of interest.
Large square ridge chimney at right of fourth bay, with narrow brick addition.
