House with shop. c1850. Ham Hill stone ashlar with slate roof
and brick stacks. Double-depth plan. Italianate style. 3
storeys; 3-window range. The deep cornice and blocking course
are returned to each side; rusticated quoins. All windows are
C20 plate-glass sashes with horns, in moulded architraves;
those to the second-floor have a moulded cill-band with small
brackets to the cills; the first-floor has floating cornices
on consoles, and guttae to brackets to the cills in the
moulded cill-band. To the right of the ground-floor, the
doorway has a moulded cornice over a round-arched doorcase
with Gibbs surround. The shopfront, with its set-back door
adjoining the main doorcase, is late C19, with a moulded
fascia flanked by elaborate consoles on Ionic pilasters.
