Terrace of 4 houses. c1830. Rendered with limestone dressings,
party wall stacks and pantile hipped roofs. Double-depth plan.
Late Georgian style. Each of 2 storeys and basement; 2-window
range. 2 matching pairs built on a slope above a full
basement, with stepped, coped parapets; lateral steps up to
outer doorways which have wide elliptical arches with
elliptical fanlights, fluted transoms and jambs, blank
side-lights and 6-panel doors; cambered heads to single
ground-floor and 2 smaller first-floor 8/8-pane sashes; single
basement sash, and 6-panel door below the steps with 2 oval
windows. INTERIOR not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: Short
ramped walls and capped piers separate the doorways, and the
bottoms of the steps. Unusual doorways for Bristol.
