Public house. c1830. Painted brick with limestone dressings,
rendered sides, lateral stacks, roof not visible. Double-depth
plan. 2-storey; 3-window range. A symmetrical front has
clasping pilaster strips to a cornice and parapet, and a
semicircular-arched doorway with rounded surround, key and
imposts, fanlight and 6-panel door. Shallow timber bays each
side have 3 plate-glass sashes, with semicircular-arched upper
panes, a fascia and cornice. 7 stepped voussoirs to
first-floor 8/8-pane sashes. 2-window left-hand return has a
central C20 door, with flanking public house windows with
stained glass above the transom and fascias. INTERIOR not
inspected.
