GV II

Terrace of 5 houses. Late C18. Brick with limestone dressings,
brick stacks and pantile mansard roof. Double-depth plan. 3
storeys, basement and attic; 7-window range, 2 windows on Nos
22 & 24, the rest 1. Mid Georgian style. Stepped terrace with
ramped cornice and parapet. Rusticated semicircular doorways
have fanlights and cornices on deep consoles; ground-floor
canted bays with 6/6-pane sashes and segmental-headed hatches
beside pavement openings; upper windows have arches with
cambered heads and 5 stepped voussoirs to 6/6-pane sashes;
No.26 has a first-floor Venetian and second-floor tripartite
windows; attic dormers with sashes; the end houses have
entrances in the sides with symmetrical facades and
semicircular sash windows above large pedimented doors with
fanlights. INTERIORS completely restored c1980 with the loss
of most period details.
