GV II*

Orangery. c1730, refronted 1933. Red brick with limestone
ashlar with a slate hipped roof. Single-depth plan.
Single-storey; 9-window range. Neo-Georgian style. A
symmetrical block has cornice and parapet, 2 banded ashlar
sections to 2 doorways with segmental-arched heads with 9
stepped voussoirs to half-glazed doors, 3 groups of 3 windows
between with segmental-arched heads with 7 stepped voussoirs,
to 12/12-pane sashes; semicircular-arched French window in the
right return. 4 urns to the parapet. INTERIOR: marble-flagged
floor.
