Windmill Hill and attached railings

House. Late C17. Squared Lias rubble, ashlar dressings,
pantile roof and brick stacks. Single-depth plan. 2 storeys;
7-window range. Central coped gable, and smaller gable to the
right above the doorway, both with cyma kneelers; slightly
lower left-hand unit. Tudor-arched door of 12 studded panels
with strap hinges, deep lintel with a hoodmould and carved
monkey stops. To the right are plain ashlar lintels, to the
left, rubble Tudor arches and deeply set windows; varied
fenestration, 2 ground-floor plate-glass sashes, the rest are
2- or 3-light casements; chamfered ashlar reveals to the
ground-floor gable. The second window from the left is a
blocked doorway. Gable-end stacks to the front and right-hand
side, and paired, diagonal ridge stacks at the centre and
left-end gable. INTERIOR not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES:
wrought-iron railings and gates to the front garden.
