Two houses, now three shops. Mid-late C18, with C19 and C20
alterations. Coursed squared stone with moulded brick eaves
cornice; brick stacks at left end and centre of pantile roof.
2-storeys and attic; 4-window front. Passage entrance in
centre has pilastered doorcase with cornice hood on corbels.
To left, shop front of Composite pilasters beneath deep
entablature and cornice: glazed double doors with overlight to
right of arcaded shop window of 5 round-arched lights on
colonnettes. To right, paired plain pilastered shop fronts
containing half-glazed and panelled doors with overlights
between plate glass windows, beneath continuous fascia and
cornice. On first floor at left end is an inserted canted bay
with 16-pane centre sash between 8-pane sashes; remaining
windows are 12-pane sashes with stone sills and triple
keyblock lintels. 4 gabled dormers with 2-light, large-pane
sliding sashes. No.3 unoccupied at time of review (1990).
