Public house. Mid to late C18 with early C19 additions.
Painted brick with tiled roofs. Right-angle plan. 3-storeys;
3-window range with 2-storey wing to east. Brick platt band
over ground floor and dentilled frieze. Segmental-headed
windows have 16-pane sashes, but central 1st floor 12-pane
sash and two 9-pane sashes to 2nd floor; central entrance has
plastered porch and overlight and paired panelled doors; end
stacks. Enriched scrolled wrought-iron sign bracket to south
end. Wing has hipped roof and cornice; windows to ground floor
have wedge lintels; 20-pane sash to each floor, 12-pane sash
to ground floor left; end entrance. Later additions to west
and north. INTERIOR has chamfered beams; some splat balusters
to stairs.
