859-1/6/369 Byrne monument approx. 2 metres
north of nave central buttress

GV II

Chest tomb. Thomas BYRNE (?) d.1690. Limestone. Thick ledger
slab to cyma-mould edges, recessed centre panel to long sides
with cartouches, lyre ends with oval panels, moulded base, all
on platform of flat headstones. The design is characteristic
of the early C18 in this area, but the earliest date
deciphered is 1690.
