House with shop. Probably early C18, remodelled late C18 or
early C19. Rendered front wall, probably timber-framed. Slate
roof. Red-brick chimney to right of ridge. Double-depth plan,
1 room wide, with staircase in rear left-hand corner. 3
storeys; 2-window range. Late C19 shop front with carved
consoles carrying C18 female busts in upper panels. Upper
storeys have rusticated pilaster-strip at left side.
Second-storey windows have 6-paned sashes in recessed
box-frames. Third-storey windows have barred sashes in
concealed frames: 3 over 6 panes. Rebuilt boxed eaves cornice.
Barred sashes at rear of second storey. INTERIOR: late C18 or
early C19 wooden dog-leg stair with column newels and thin
square balusters, from 1st floor. 2 late C18 doors on 2nd
floor have 2 raised-and-fielded panels with 2-fillet ovolo
mouldings.
