Detached house. C17 and C18, altered C19 and C20. Rubble stone,
hipped thatched roof with axial brick stack, wing to east partly in
brick has tiled roof. L-plan. Two-storey and attic, 3-window.
Blocked door with 2-light casement to left of centre, C20 two-light
casement left and right and single-light casement to right. First
floor has three C20 two-light casements, attic has two raking
dormers with 3-light wooden casements. Two-storey wing projecting
to right-has glazed door in trellis porch to left, two 2-light
casements and blocked doorway to right, raised first floor with
single-light and three 2-light casements. Attached to right of
wing is C20 single-storey extension, rear of wing has planked door
in gabled porch and 2-light casements. Rear of main range has 3-
light, single, 2-light casements and C20 glazed door with casements
to first floor. C20 flat-roofed extension attached to right
return.
Interior has large open fireplaces to main stack, the sitting room
with cambered chamfered lintel on stone jambs and former kitchen to
north with renewed...lintel and bread ovens, chamfered beams with
stepped stops. Sitting room also has corner fireplace and dado
with recessed panelling at south end, winding stairs against rear
wall. Formerly two cottages and since converted back to one
dwelling.
