Farmhouse and attached barn. Late C18, barn probably early C19. Coursed,
squared gritstone, C20 concrete-tiled roof to house, stone slates to barn.
2-room plan house to right, taller barn set at slight angle uphill to left.
House: 2 storeys, 2 windows to first floor. Plinth. C20 part-glazed door
to left in bonded ashlar surround. 3-light mullion windows to each floor,
all with square-faced surrounds, recessed mullions and C20 aluminium casements
throughout. Central corniced ashlar ridge stack. Barn; segmental-arched
cart entrance to right with rock-faced voussoirs and keystone, To left a
board door, small casement and 13 stone steps up to hayloft door with keyed
arch. 5 slit vents to upper storey. Rear; large boarded cart doors beneath
segmental arch. Cowhouse attached to front left of barn not of special
interest. Included partly for group considerations.
