Almshoue row. Circa 1912. Red brick with recessed quoins , plain tiled hipped roof
with 2 ridge stacks. Single storey with entrance arches at both ends of front and
off centre to right. Single casement windows to left and right of centre.
Whiteley Village was provided by William Whiteley of Whiteley's stores for thrifty
old folk and was laid out on an octagonal plan by Frank Atkinson, employing leading
architects of the day.
