Detached house, half way up Peak Hill, raised above road level and largely
hidden. Early C19 "cottage ornee" embellishment of old farm cottage.
Long low stuccoed building of 1 storey and attic. Thatched roof, the
eaves swept out as verandah with fretted eaves fascia and cast iron column
supports. 6 thatched casement dormers. 3 "Gothic" French windows ground
floor, wooden shaped drip moulds with scroll ends are possibly later addi-
tion. The front is screened from entrance courtyard by modern extension,
in sympathetic style with thatched roof, including garage and doorway.
Picturesque.
