GV II

Garden walls and gatepiers: c1700 for Sir John Crewe. Tooled ashlar
red sandstone. Main wall runs parallel to the front of the house and
is cl-1.4m high with flat coping. At the centre is a pair of
gatepiers with plain square bodies on moulded plinths and with moulded
capstones and ball finials. These contain a recent iron gate
approached by 3 steps. 3 low walls join the main wall to the house.
