Formerly a terrace of 4 cottages, now a house: early C18 with C20
alterations. Washed and rendered rubble sandstone, thatched roof, 3
brick chimneys. 1-storey and attic, 6-bay front. Small 4-pane
windows. 3rd bay has 5 steps to door with thatched gabled hood.
Right end appears as an original cottage with a 4-pane window in each
storey and a board door approached by steps to the rear there are
windows to both storeys.
Interior: The 3 main rooms retain small inglenooks with stone
supports to wooden bressumers. Stone gates with basket arched
openings have C19 iron ranges by Storrars of Chester. Exposed beams
and joists. Small winder staircase in the right hand end. Upstairs
is a queen post truss with wattle and daub infill and wind-braced
purlins.
