Upper Pengethley

GV II

Barn. 1820 on plaque. Sandstone rubble with brick arches, Welsh slate
and sandstone slate roof. Ten bays aligned roughly east/west. South
elevation masked by early C20 sheds has two rows of vent slits set,
unusually, in echelon. Small entry with brick arch to extreme left and
two large opposed full-height entries with ledged two-leaved doors to
threshing floors about a third of the way from each end. The opposed
entries have cambered brick heads. Interior has five bays to west with
king-post trusses and five to the east with plain collars and tie-beams.
