Parish Church. C14 and C15 core, with Chancel rebuilt c.1852, and rest of
church restored in 1864. Nave with bellcote, chancel North Vestry. Flint
and rubble stone walls with freestone dressings. Clay tile roofs. Nave,
north wall, C20 window and a doorway, blocking of a former window. South
wall, 2 windows, eastern, of 3-lights trefoil-cusped, with a hollow-chamfered
surround in a square head. Lozenge-leaded lights, C15. Two-light window,
left of this, with falchion in head, C19. North Porch, entrance with pointed
arch and chamfered jambs. Stone-coped gable and clay-tile roof. Plank door
with ornamental hinges, C19. Chancel; east window, 3-light trefoil cusping
with intersecting tracery, falchions and quatrefoil in head, C19. Label with
head-stops. South wall has a pointed-arch doorway at centre, buttressed either
side and joining over the doorway. 2-light trefoil-cusped windows. Interior:
Chancel-arch with straight chamfers and sunk quadrant moulding, jambs into
pointed arch without capitals, C14. Roof: arch-braced collar-beam type with
scissor-bracing over, all carried on curved stone corbels of chembin fittings:
font, C19, octagonal stone bowl and stem, spurred trefoils with foliage.
Confiteor inscription. Pulpit, stone, approached through arch on right hand
side of chancel-arch. Three-sided and corbelled-out. Lamb of God in spurred
quatrefoil at centre. Running foliage in cornice. Piscina, chancel, stone with
foliage banding under a trefoiled head.
