Memorial Obelisk to Battiscombe 2 metres south-west of Church of St Mary

Obelisk. Dated 1849. Square stone pedestal with Soanic incised
corner pilasters. Cornice with projecting corners. Pedimented
roof with acroteria at the corners with crossed palms. Tapering
stone obelisk on a moulded base. Main inscription: "Sacred to
the memory of William Battiscombe, who died September 26th 1849
in the 70th year of his age."
