Church of St Uvelus

A Grade I Listed Building in St. Eval, Cornwall

Church of St Uvelus, St Eval, Cornwall

Uploader's Comments

This beautiful church was once inside the perimeter of RAF St Eval, and was adopted by RAF Coastal Command as their church. It is on a high plateau on the north coast of Cornwall and has long been a landmark to seafarers (and subsequently to airmen). The old tower collapsed in 1700 and was rebuilt in 1727 in the same style.
