Cottage. Dated 1801 with C17 origins. Limestone rubble brought to course, millstone grit dressings, slate roof. Two storeys, two bays. Left-hand jamb of right of centre entrance abuts former gable end of C17 building; moulded surround, gabled hood and datestone inscribed JG (J Green); c1970 door. Two ground floor and two upper floor two-light flat faced mullioned windows, C20 casements. Right-hand shaped kneeler, gable end coping and ridge stack.
Interior: front left-hand room has arched cupboard of c1800 with fluted Doric pilasters and palmette frieze with swags to cornice. Front right hand room has early C19 fireplace with plain surround and mantle on two moulded stone corbels. Crane and range c1800 by T Altham & Son, Penrith.
