ST 77 SW DYRHAM AND HINTON C.P. DYRHAM PARK

8/168 Oldfield Gatehouse

G.V. II

Gatehouse, now house. Early C19 with C20 additions and alterations. Coursed
rubble with stone dressings and long and short quoins, asbestos slate hipped
roof. Formerly octagonal plan, now with large C20 2-storey extension to rear.
Gothic style. 2 storeys, 3 sides to front, ground and first floor left and right have pointed arched window with Y-tracery in upper section, 2-light casement in lower section, relieving arch. Left return has narrow gabled porch with C20 door and similar window at first floor left; right return has ground and first floor similar window.
