Part of cotton mill, now caretaker's block and student
accommodation. c1880, converted 1988. Built for Storey
Brothers as a part of their additions to the Moor Lane Mills
North complex. Squared coursed sandstone with slate roof. 3
storeys. The south wall, facing the road, has one window on
the ground floor to the right of the central waggon entrance.
On the 1st floor are 2 windows which have 3 lights separated
by stone mullions, and on the 2nd floor are 3 windows. The
left-hand return wall, facing downhill, is of 2 bays on the
1st and 2nd floors, above adjoining buildings. The right-hand
return wall was rebuilt following the 1988 demolitions. The
rear wall has a central 1st-floor bay of timber and glass with
an iron crane. To the right is a disused iron fire escape at
2nd and 3rd floor level.
