House. Late C19. Polychrome brick and mock timber-framing with
plain tile and fishscale tile patterned roof, pierced
bargeboards, decorative cresting tiles with finials, and
truncated stacks. In style a successful and elaborate cross
between Venetian Gothic and Elizabethan. Side-hall plan.
3-storeys and attic Single-window range in double-jettied
cross gable to right. 3-light C20 windows in stone frames to
1st and ground floors. Pointed-arched doorway to left with
original panelled door and overlight. Small star-shaped window
above and lancet in set-back wall over roof of entrance
section. Elaborate polychrome brickwork including 1st floor
jetty. Very decorative framing to 2nd floor gable. The left
side is simpler with mostly colourwashed brick but also has
framing in the gables.
