House. C17. Tall, unusually large, 2 storeys and attics timber
frame plastered, facing W. Gabled old red tile roof with 2 large
gables to front. Lobby entry plan with large central chimney and
door off-centre to S. Ground floor rebuilt in painted brick with
plinth. 4 window front with C19 3-light small paned wooden
casements. 6 panel door under small flat canopy on shaped
brackets. Central chimney in red brick with square joined
shafts. Panelled pargetting to front with varied patterns. S end
weatherboarded. In an important position on a bend in the road
at the N end of the village.
