4/26 Landue Barton Cottage
and Lane End Cottage

GV II

House, now divided into 2 cottages. Late C17 with later additions and alterations.
Roughcast slate-stone; slate roof. 2-unit plan with C19 twin-gabled range at right-
angles to rear. 2 storeys and gable-lit attic. Two C19 casements directly below
eaves and to left and far right of hip-roofed porch to left of centre with window
to front and boarded door to left side. Internal end stack with red brick shaft
to left. Interior: Inspection of Landue Barton Cottage (right cottage) only possible
at time of resurvey (December 1987). This has chamfered joists to ground floor
of main range with wide floor boards of room above visible. Low C20 gabled range
attached to right gable end of main range is not of special architectural interest.
