Farmhouse. Dated 1634 on porch, but part possibly earlier; enlarged and altered. White-painted pebble-dash on brick, with rendered dressings painted black, and slate roof. L-plan formed by 3-unit main range with projecting porch, and crosswing to right which projects to rear and is slightly overlapped by main range (and therefore probably earlier). All 2 storeys, the main range 3 bays, symmetrical, and the wing one wide gabled bay, lower. The main range has a central 2-storey gabled porch which has a segmental-pointed outer doorway with large imposts, a shallower and wider inner doorway, a floating label above the outer doorway and a moulded carved plaque above this (much eroded) with a crested shield-of-arms and the date 1634, and a 2-light casement at 1st floor with raised segmental-headed surround; a small canted bay window to the left, with 4 cusped lights, a square 3-light casement to the right with raised surround, and 2 similar windows at 1st floor. Chimney at left gable. The wing has a low wide 5-light casement on each floor, the lower with modern joinery, a doorway to the right (under carried-down roof), and a small square window above this. Rear: main range has (inter alia) a shallow projection in the centre, with a C14-style sandstone mullioned window of 2 cusped lights and a quatrefoil; wing has modern 3-light casements with rendered labels, and a small 2-light stairwindow on each floor to the right. INTERIOR: large chamfered beams on both floors of both parts; otherwise, altered.
