Inscription translated approximately 'here lies that venerable man John Hauley, founder of this chancel, who died the 30th day of December in the year of our lord 1_______. . . right, his first wife, Joan by name, who died the 12th day of the July in the year of our Lord 1394, in . . . . who died the 7th day of January in the year of our Lord, 1403,on whose souls may God have mercy, Amen'
