Stable block to the east of
Merefield house

Stable block. c1840. Limestone rubble with slate roof, hipped
to the front and half-hipped to the rear. 2 storeys. The west
elevation, facing the house, is treated in Gothic style with 4
pointed arches to the centre, that to the right-of-centre is
wider with a hay-loft over and C20 doors and window; to the
right is a mounting-block. The south side has large planked
double doors with a hay-loft over and a C20 window to the
left. The north side has C20 living accommodation. INTERIOR
not inspected. Included for group value.
