1879. Architect R Norman Shaw. Plaque to No 9. George Robinson, Marquess of Ripon,
Viceroy of India lived here. Red brick. Five or 6 storeys, attics and basement. Each
4 windows wide. Gables. Narrow sash windows with cambered heads and keystones.
Three-storey canted bay windows with iron balconies on top. Doorways recessed under
bay windows, supported by Roman Doric pillars.
