School. 1871. Finely coursed ironstone (appears to be limestone. See pictures of Sproxton School (not listed) for ironstone school with datestone 1871) and plain tile roofs (in bands of blue and red). Single storey (now 1 1/2 storeys with dormer windows having barge boards in keeping with original). T-plan, the cross wing to the east. Main range lit through 2 3- light casements under pointed segmental gauged arches. Each light trefoiled. Segmental door to right beneath porch hood on arched braces. Gabled roof. South end of gabled cross wing with canted bay to ground floor, the windows as before. Above is a trefoiled date plaque within a brick surround. Elaborated bargeboards. (Photo Mar 2007).
