Boundary and retaining walls, steps, urns, basin, fountain and gates of
Gardens to South and West fronts of Weston House. Mid C19 stone, rusticated
ashlar to retaining walls. Laid out in terraces on four levels, descending
from house to walled, semi-circular lawn to South by nine sets of parapeted
stone steps; perimeter only in balustrading with small semi-circular bay
to West and stepped dais for Garden House to East. Solid wall against East
front with scrolled consoles and moulded dies and ball finials to higher
abutment against house with even quoins and wrought iron gate of Greek
Revival style. Urns to dies and pedestals throughout with gadrooned bases
and egg and dart rim. Fountain to centre West of quatrefoil shape with
putti to centre and circular stone basin to South of coved form with reeded
base, woven papyrus sides and cabled rim.
