Blue slate with fine calligraphy to Elizabeth the wife of William Orton and Daughter of James Radford late of Oakthorpe by Alice his wife. She departed this life the 24th Aug 1747, a few days after the birth of her first child, aged 35 years. -Thou was too good on Earth to stay with me/ And I not good enough to dye with thee/ Farewell dear Wife since Death would have (thee so)/ Thou canst not come to me, but I to thee must go-.
