4/150 Milestone at NGR ST 3554 1316

Milestone, Probably early C19, Ham stone pillar, cast-iron plaques.
Pillar triangular, sides 480 mm, rear 340 mm, 950 mm tall, with
rounded top: plaques 200 mm deep overall, with figures in central
drop; on east, plaque 340 mm wide reads:- "CHARD/4" and on west 420
mm wide reading "ILMINSTER/1". This road turnpiked by the Ilminster
Turnpike Trust in 1759.
