House. 1908. Sir Bannister Fletcher. Red brick, stone dressings, slate
hipped roof. Queen Anne style. 2 storeys and attic. 3 bay front. Centre
has ground floor 4 light stone mullioned window with attached entrance
under 4 centred arch and recessed lugged architrave to right. First
floor bowed oriel window with roughcast skirt and flanking pilasters.
Above eaves an equilaterally triangular pediment on paired brackets with
a round headed window and railed balcony. Surmounting this a stack with
ramped up base and cornice. Flanking bays have ground floor sash windows
with 3 central lights and 2 light side windows all under segmental
relieving arches with brick diamonds in stuccoed tympana. First floor 4
light casements with 2 central lights forming triangulated and bracketed
oriels. Mutule cornice to deep eaves. 2 flat topped 2 light dormers.
Long stone quoins to returns. Cornices to end stacks linked to hips,
that to right is broader. Garden elevation: 2 3-light first floor
windows and 4 light ground floor French windows to centre with segmental
heads as at front, flanking first floor triangulated oriels. 3 dormers.
