Pair of cottages. c1800. Squared limestone with brick eaves course, and
irregular, hammered quoins; brick outbuildings to No 25; pantile roof with
rebuilt brick stacks. Central-entrance plan to each cottage. 2-storey, 4-
window front. Centre doors approached by steps. 2-light, 24-pane
horizontal sliding sashes with painted stone sills throughout. Painted
tooled wedge lintels to ground floor openings, and painted timber lintels to
first floor. Rear: single-storey, lean-to outbuilding to each cottage. End
and centre stacks. These cottages constituted the only unaltered pair in
the village at time of resurvey.
