Pair of cottages. c1800 with C20 alteration and extension. Squared
limestone with brick eaves course and irregular, hammered quoins; pantile
roof to no 27 to left, and concrete pantile roof to no 28; brick stacks.
Central-entrance plan to each cottage. 2-storey, 4-window front. Part-
glazed doors and C20 top-opening windows with small-pane glazing throughout.
Painted tooled wedge lintels to all ground-floor openings and painted timber
lintels to first-floor windows. End and centre stacks. Extensions to rear
not of special interest. Included for group value.
