Entrance in Abbey Mill Lane.
Early C20 building of 3 storeys in flint with brick quoins and stone
dressings to irregularly placed windows. Varied roof line of gables and
mansard with dormers, all of slate and moderately high pitched. Windows
are one-,2- and 3-light casements under stone hoodmoulds, some with
traceried, stone blocked centre lights. Wide, canted bay at right, with
battlemented parapet, echoes similar parapet to one section of roof.
Entrance under 4-centred arch with coats of arms in spandrels.

The Abbey Gate and St Alban's School buildings form a group.
