GV II

House with attached walls. Late C18 with C20 addition. Thin
courses of squared sandstone with large quoins and painted
tooled ashlar dressings. Roof of thin artificial slates
imitating Welsh slate, with stone gable copings and brick
chimneys.
2 storeys, 3 windows. Central renewed 4-panel door and 3-pane
overlight in painted tooled stone surround. Similar tooling to
flat stone lintels and projecting stone sills of renewed
sashes with glazing bars. Low-pitched roof has stone eaves
gutter on widely-spaced stone brackets. Plain stone gable
copings, and corniced end chimneys.
Rear elevation has French window inserted and outshut added
c1970. Walls 4m high flanking house front, running north and
south from gables, have stone and quoins similar to house
material, as has low wall enclosing rectangular garden in
front, with central renewed wrought-iron gate. Left high wall
continues along south and east boundary of rear garden.
INTERIOR shows dogleg stair with block tread ends and stick
balusters.
